Single and Ready to Mingle
These posters repurpose the phrase “single and ready to mingle” to signify how single-use plastics continue to circulate in the natural environments they get cast off into. Most of the synthetic materials in single-use plastics are not biodegradable, and currently less than 15% of plastic packaging is recycled. It is predicted that by 2050, plastic will outnumber fish in the ocean.
These compositions are a personal expression of mindfulness regarding my own single-use plastic consumption and my attempts to mitigate it as we face a future shaped by the undeniable effects of climate change.
